These quick and easy recipes can be executed in fifteen minutes or less. They are perfect to cook for kids before school or as a morning meal for yourself.
The following recipe only calls for four simple ingredients and boasts a classic delicious combination: ham and cheese. Although Mom’s Famous Hearty Breakfast Sandwich is crafted with four ordinary ingredients, its taste can only be described as multidimensional and shockingly flavorful.
Get lost in the crunch of a toasted English muffin contrasted against velvety melted cheese and warm slices of Canadian bacon. This is sure to be a hit with school aged kids who are in the habit of eating breakfast on their way to the bus stop.
Mom’s Famous Hearty Breakfast Sandwich:
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
1 English muffin (choose whole wheat for a healthier meal)
1 teaspoon butter or margarine
4 or 5 slices of cheddar cheese
8 thin slices of Canadian bacon
Execution:
Turn the oven broiler on medium-high while simultaneously buttering the interior surfaces of the English muffin.
Once buttered, immediately deposit the English muffin into the oven. Since all ovens are different, it will be necessary to keep an eye on the English muffin while it is under the broiler.
While the English muffin becomes lightly toasted under the broiler, cut several slices of cheddar cheese and remove the Canadian bacon from its packaging.
Remove the English muffin from the oven when the buttered surfaces are lightly browned.
Lay a single layer of cheddar cheese on the left side of the English muffin and pile up the Canadian bacon on the right.
Return the English muffin halves to the broiler and cook until the cheddar cheese has completely melted.
Assemble the sandwich and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Sarah’s Ham, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Feast is another great recipe that involves minimal preparation. It yields a large portion of food that is fit to satisfy even the hungriest of individuals any morning. Not to mention, it can be completed from start to finish in less time than it takes to brew a cup of coffee.
Sarah’s Ham, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Feast:
Difficulty: Medium-easy
Ingredients:
1 bagel (any flavor)
1 egg white
2 thick slices of ham
1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
Salt
Pepper
Execution:
Set the oven broiler on medium and allow it to preheat while cutting the bagel in half and placing it on a piece of aluminum foil. The aluminum foil minimizes the potential mess created by melted cheese.
Distribute the grated cheddar cheese on one half of the bagel; place the ham slices on the other half. Place this under the broiler until the cheese is completely melted.
Meanwhile-while the bagel sits under the broiler-locate a small frying pan and coat it with nonstick spray.
Cook the egg white in the frying pan over medium heat; be sure to salt and pepper one side of the egg white before flipping.
Remove the bagel from the oven after the cheese has uniformly melted and place the egg white on top of one half of the bagel.
Assemble the sandwich and serve immediately. Enjoy!
