Recipe for Lavender Pancakes
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. white sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2-1 tsp. dried lavender buds
Mix dry ingredients, then add:
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 cup water
4 tbsp. oil or melted butter
Whisk ingredients together, stirring batter until free of lumps.
Adjust liquid amounts so that pancake batter is the desired thickness.
Drop pancakes onto a hot greased griddle and cook until bubbles form, then flip over and continue cooking until both sides are golden and lavender hotcakes are cooked in the middle.
