Easy Early Morning Meals Using Eggs

Eggs provide protein as part of a daily diet. Eggs provide a variety of quick meals such as egg salad, egg omelettes, and deviled eggs and can be budget-friendly.

Eggs are a commonly eaten food which can be prepared in a variety of methods. Some common methods for cooking eggs are boiling, frying, microwaving, poaching, and scrambling.

Eggs may be enjoyed at any time. However, breakfast should provide a combination of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. An individual can enjoy preparing a quick, rewarding early morning meal and eggs can be eaten with various foods including pork sausages, egg muffins, cheese, and bagels.

Easy Egg Salad

Preparation and Cook Time: 30 minutes

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs or 4 medium eggs
  • 1/4 cup of diced onions
  • 1/4 cup of diced chives
  • 1/4 cup of low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. of rosemary
  • 1 tsp. of garlic powder

Preparation:

  1. Use a medium sauce pan to boil eggs. Cover egg with cold water.
  2. After boilin eggs, remove eggs from hot water and allow eggs to cool.
  3. Crack and peel each egg, slice into small pieces.
  4. Place eggs into a medium mixing bowl. Add onions and chives.
  5. Add mayonnaise. Gently mix ingredients with a medium spoon.
  6. Sprinkle with rosemary and garlic powder. Serve or refrigerate for later.

Heavenly Ham Egg and Cheese Omelette

Preparation and Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup of pre-cooked sliced ham
  • 14 cup of soy milk
  • 1/4 cup of diced green peppers
  • 1/4 cup of diced tomatoes
  • 1/8 cup of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. of black pepper
  • 1 tsp. of garlic powder

Preparation:

  1. Heat a medium frying pan on low temperature.
  2. Add cooking spray to coat the bottom of the pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, lightly beat the eggs and milk with a fork until blended.
  4. Pour the mixture into the frying pan.
  5. Add the diced ham, peppers, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese
  6. Allow ingredients to cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Fold the omelette in half by flipping it over with a spatula.
  8. Remove from the fying pan, sprinkle with pepper and garlic powder. Serve.

Quick Deviled Eggs

Preparation and Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of pre-made deviled ham spread
  • 1/4 cup of sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of diced red peppers
  • 1 chopped celery
  • 1 Tbsp. of low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. of sweet pickle relish

Preparation:

  1. Place all 4 eggs in a medium saucepan. Cover eggs with cold water.
  2. Allo water to boil and remove from the heat. Cover and let eggs cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Pour water from pan and refill with cold water for quick cooling.
  4. Remove and peel eggs before cutting each into halves.
  5. Gently remove the egg yolks and place into a medium bowl.
  6. Combine ham spread, tomatoes, peppers, celery, mayonnaise, and relish into a rich smoothness.
  7. Place mixture into each egg white and sprinkle with black pepper.
  8. Refrigerate and serve as an appetizer.
